The first Philippine Mission was opened in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on December 23, 1973.Established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom in October 1969.
The Philippine Embassy was transferred to Riyadh, the Capital City of Saudi Arabia and seat of all diplomatic missions in the Kingdom in July 1985. The Chancery was temporarily located at the King Fahd Quarter opposite the Al-Owais Market while waiting for the construction and completion of the new Chancery at the Diplomatic Quarter.
