Al-Jouf International Airport officially inaugurated

Prince Faisal bin Nawaf, Emir of Al-Jouf, inaugurated the new Al-Jouf International Airport on Monday, in the presence of Minister of Transport and Logistics Saleh Al-Jasser and other officials. The airport has an annual capacity of 1.6 million passengers, up from 175,000 previously.

The 24,000-square-metre terminal features two boarding bridges, seven departure gates, four arrival gates, and 16 check-in counters, including self-service options. Designed as a modern aviation gateway, the airport is expected to boost economic and tourism development in northern Saudi Arabia and meet growing travel demand.

Passenger flow is supported by smart gates, dual passport control counters, extensive baggage systems, and 648 parking spaces. The airport offers commercial areas, children’s play zones, and services from three Saudi and four international airlines, with connections to major regional destinations. Domestic flights account for over 70 percent of operations, led by frequent services to Riyadh.
