A duathlon kicked off the fifth AlUla Wellness Festival on Friday, and it will run through November 1. In addition to "adventure activities" for all age groups, the festival will feature a variety of athletic competitions in the breathtaking natural setting of AlUla, such as cycling, jogging, and endurance sports.
AlUla's famous sites, including as Elephant Rock, Hegra, the Old Town Amphitheatre, Harrat Viewpoint, Heart of the Oasis, and Maraya, will host events every day.
On October 29 and 30, Team Jayco will host the AlUla Cycling Camp, which will include specialized courses on riding tactics and training, as well as guided tours through the untamed terrain of AlUla.
Five racing categories that accommodate different age groups and fitness levels will be offered at the AlUla Half Marathon, which will take place on October 25 and include the city's distinctive backdrop.
On October 31, the AlUla 24-Hour Endurance Race will take place at Mughayra Heritage Sports Village, where competitors will compete individually or in teams to finish as many laps as they can in a single day. On November 1, Ashar Valley will host a triathlon at the Winter Park.
Events with a cultural and history focus are also part of the festival, including special cooking classes in historic locations like Jabal Ikmah, an outdoor museum whose inscriptions chronicle the tales of past civilizations.
