For the upcoming Hajj season, the Kingdom's Ministry of Health has released an awareness package in eight languages, the Saudi Press Agency said Friday.
English, Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Malay, and Turkish are among the languages used in the kit's material.
Guidelines for preventing heat exhaustion are one of its main elements. It is recommended that pilgrims wear umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun and to drink plenty of water.
The bundle comes with printed materials, social media postings, and videos.
Depending on their countries of origin, pilgrims are also urged to make sure they are vaccinated against COVID-19, poliomyelitis, yellow fever, and meningococcal meningitis.
The ministry recommended that pilgrims with long-term illnesses bring documentation of their ailments as well as sufficient amounts of prescription drugs in their original containers.
It also suggested that pilgrims renew their immunizations against polio, measles, chickenpox, mumps, whooping cough, tetanus, and diphtheria.
