Yanbu, in Madinah province, hosted the Bahhar festival, which drew both locals and tourists with its artistic performances and cultural, tourism, and heritage-related events.
Yanbu fisherman also shared their experiences in the Red Sea during the week-long celebration.
Bahhar's event tent featured a theater, a kids' art area, a folklore band, a fine arts and marine-themed handicrafts pavilion, and a display of the Red Sea coast's biodiversity.
Talks and seminars on current fish farming techniques, marine fishing restrictions, and efforts to preserve the sea and coastal environment were among the side activities.
In order to promote the growth of sustainable fisheries, the event also featured lectures by specialists on financing options for fishermen.
