Farmers, consumers, and date dealers from all across the Kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council nations have come to Buraidah for the Date Carnival.
Shoppers purchased hundreds of tonnes of dates, with Sukkari being the top choice in the Qassim region. Other varieties such as Khalas, Suqai, Wannana, Barhi, Shaqra, Majdool, and Hoshaniyya also attracted strong demand.
Official carnival statistics show that over 100 different types of dates from Qassim farms were displayed daily in the market. The festival offered farmers and date traders marketing opportunities in addition to social and economic benefits for the neighborhood.
