Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced new measures to streamline departure procedures for Umrah pilgrims.
Pilgrims are advised to coordinate with their service providers to confirm travel plans, complete hotel check-outs, arrange transport, and arrive at the airport at least four hours before departure.
Authorities stressed that all Umrah visa holders must leave the Kingdom by Dhul Qa’dah 1, 1447 (April 18, 2026), warning that overstaying will result in fines, imprisonment, and deportation.
The Ministry of Interior also warned citizens and residents against assisting overstayers in any form, stating that violators will face strict legal penalties.
Additionally, Umrah service providers have been instructed to report any cases of visa overstaying immediately, with failure to do so attracting financial penalties.
