Eid Al Adha will begin on Wednesday, May 27, following the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah crescent moon on Sunday evening.
The Day of Arafat, the peak of the Hajj pilgrimage, will be observed on Tuesday, May 26. Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and is required once in a lifetime for Muslims who are physically and financially able.
