Expired visit visa holders can renew their visas and return home through a new initiative

By paying a specific cost and penalty, individuals with expired visitation visas can renew their visas and return home thanks to a procedure established by the Saudi passport department. Starting on June 26, the scheme's benefits will be accessible for a month. The General Directorate of Passports has declared that the program has begun to be implemented and that it should be used within a month.

The application needs to be submitted via Abshir, the Saudi Ministry of Interior's online platform, using the "Tawasul" service. Those in Saudi Arabia with expired visas of all kinds, including single-entry, multiple-entry, business, employment, and family visit visas, will be able to depart the country smoothly and lawfully. This program is also available to visit visa holders who have been identified to be absconders.

To begin, the Hurub in their name must be canceled. Visitors without sponsors can use the Abshir platform's Tawasul service to renew their visa and activate their digital identity card. This service is accessible and one can do without going to any offices. Sponsors can use this service by logging into their own Abshir account. Anyone who has been in Saudi Arabia for any amount of time after their visas have expired can use the recently announced program to extend their visas and depart the country.
