
Travelers with a special Saudi transit or stopover visa are permitted to remain in the Kingdom for a maximum of 96 hours, or four days. It can be utilized to travel to Makkah or Madinah for religious events like Umrah and Ziyarah and is accessible to travelers on Saudia Airlines and Flynas. With the exception of a few processing costs and required health insurance, the visa is completely free.
Eligibility:
- accessible to anybody making a stopover when traveling through Saudi Arabia
- must be traveling with Flynas or Saudia Airlines
- eligibility extends beyond citizens to GCC residents
- If flying with another airline, passengers can apply for a regular transit visa
Appointments for Umrah or Ziyarah must be scheduled in advance at Nusuk.sa.
Visa term and validity:
- 90 days from the date of issuance is the validity period.
- Maximum duration is four days or 96 hours
- Only one entry
- not extendable
To qualify for the transit visa, passenger must have:
- A passport with no restrictions that is valid for at least six months
- A confirmed ticket for your next destination and, if necessary, a current visa or residency permit
- 200x200px, maximum 20KB passport-sized photo that satisfies Saudi visa criteria.
How to submit an application for a free transit visa:
1. Go to the airline's website, either Flynas.com or Saudia.com.
2. Look for flights that stop in Saudi Arabia.
3. Select your flight and input your travel and personal information.
4. When making your reservation, choose to apply for a stopover visa.
5. Complete the following:
Number on passport
Emirates ID (if relevant)
Address and contact information
Add a passport-sized photo.
Provide all necessary medical information.
6. Finish the reservation and payment procedure.
7. An email containing transit visa and insurance documentation will be received within minutes after confirmation.
