The Home Delivery Permit service for food and non-food delivery businesses was introduced by the Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Housing using the Balady platform. By ensuring that businesses adhere to technical and health regulations, the delivery service seeks to control delivery operations in urban areas, fostering a secure and effective environment that boosts customer confidence.
Securing approval from the authority overseeing the commercial activity, obtaining a health certificate for each employee of the home delivery service, clearly displaying the establishment's name or trademark on delivery vehicles, and making sure these vehicles meet the technical and health standards required for safe product transportation are all requirements for the permit.
According to the ministry, mandatory enforcement of license issue will start on July 1, 2025. Municipalities will enforce regulations against infractions and conduct field inspections to verify compliance.
Business owners can apply for a home delivery permit by going to https://balady.gov.sa/en/services/issue-home-delivery-permission on the Balady platform.
Balady Plus was created by national talents to be more than merely a navigation tool, the ministry claims. With accurate local content, it provides an interactive 3D map experience that captures the actual topography of Saudi cities and instantly adjusts to their changes.
