The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) will host the fifth edition of the iRead Marathon from February 5 to 7, in partnership with the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information and environmental partners.
The event will bring together 52 libraries from 13 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq. This year’s edition marks a 235 percent increase in participation by Arab libraries compared to last year.
The marathon is part of Ithra’s ongoing efforts to promote reading across society, with individuals and families invited to join the initiative to develop reading skills and discover new literary worlds.
