The Jeddah Book Fair 2025 concluded on Saturday after 10 days of rich cultural activities, drawing more than 650,000 visitors and highlighting its growing importance in Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape.
Held from December 11 to 20 under the theme “Jeddah Reads,” the fair brought together over 1,000 publishing houses and cultural institutions from 24 countries. More than 400 exhibition booths displayed around 195,000 book titles, while an expanded programme of over 176 events — including panel discussions, workshops and book signings — catered to diverse audiences and interests.
A dedicated children’s zone saw strong family participation, offering interactive and educational experiences aimed at nurturing creativity and learning.
For the first time, the fair featured screenings of Saudi films, linking literature with visual storytelling and showcasing local creative talent. Enhanced digital services, including electronic ticketing and interactive maps, were also introduced to improve accessibility and the overall visitor experience.
