The Jeddah Book Fair 2025 opened Thursday at the Jeddah Superdome under the slogan “Jeddah Reads,” marking one of the city’s largest cultural events. This year, the fair brings together over 1,000 local and international publishers and agencies from 24 countries across 400 booths, reinforcing Jeddah as a regional hub for creativity, knowledge, and cultural exchange.
For the first time, the fair includes a Saudi filmmaking program, featuring daily screenings of acclaimed local films through the “Dhaw” Film Support Program in partnership with the Film Commission, highlighting the rise of Saudi cinema and fostering collaboration between cultural sectors.
With more than 170 events—panels, lectures, poetry nights, and workshops—the fair offers a full cultural experience. A children’s area encourages reading and creativity, while universities and cultural institutions showcase their latest works. Other attractions include a manga and anime zone, a discounted books section, and a Handicrafts Corner, celebrating the 2025 Year of Handicrafts and supporting Saudi artisans.
