
Riyadh Airports' King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) recorded its best monthly performance to date in July 2025, releasing operational data that broke previous records.
In a single day, 142,538 passengers arrived at the airport, breaking the previous daily record. It set new records for both passenger traffic and flight operations serving 3.9 million passengers on 26,000 flights throughout the month.
With 131,691 passengers on August 1, 2024, the previous single-day record was established. With an 8% year-over-year increase, this year's peak highlights the airport's sustained expansion and improved operational effectiveness.
As the main air gateway to the Saudi capital, KKIA's strategic role is in line with the performance, which also supports the Kingdom's aviation plan goals under Vision 2030.
In accordance with national objectives, Riyadh Airports keeps increasing capacity, enhancing the traveler experience, and raising service standards in order to establish Riyadh as a major regional and international transportation hub.
