King Salman has approved renaming Madinah’s main airport road as “Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road.” The 13-kilometer stretch links the Prophet’s Mosque to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, providing direct access to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Royal Terminal.
As a vital route for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, the roadway enhances connectivity between the Prophet’s Mosque and Madinah airport, supporting the city’s role as a key destination for millions of visitors.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road would connect Madinah's three major highways: King Faisal Road (1st Ring), King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road (2nd Ring), and King Khalid Road (3rd Ring).
