The 17th Klaija Festival in Buraidah is highlighting culinary traditions from Morocco, Turkiye and Egypt alongside the Qassim region’s signature pastry.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, participating countries are presenting their well-known dishes, while the festival, running until January 17 at the King Khalid Cultural Center, also features live cooking demonstrations by expert chefs.
A dedicated tent showcases organic agricultural and animal products such as ghee, date syrup, whole wheat, natural honey and grains — key ingredients in Klaija. Launched 17 years ago by Qassim Governor Prince Faisal bin Mishaal, the festival has grown from a small local showcase into a major annual cultural event.
