Makkah Region National Parks Promote biodiversity, ecotourism and sustainable investment

National parks in the Makkah region combine natural beauty and biodiversity with growing opportunities for ecotourism and sustainable investment. Overseen by the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, the parks focus on conservation, rehabilitation, infrastructure development and community partnerships. Saiysad National Park in Taif has seen facility upgrades, afforestation and wildlife releases to boost biodiversity.

Jabal Al-Qamar National Park in Khulais covers more than 18 million sq. meters, featuring unique rock formations and diverse vegetation. Wadi Qudaid Park includes a research station focused on plants, soil and water. Jumum Eco-Park and Hali Wildlife Park in Al-Qunfudhah have each planted around 90,000 trees. Together, these parks promote ecotourism, investment and economic opportunities while supporting the Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030.
