Ministry of Interior announces SR100,000 fine for illegal transport to Makkah during Hajj

The Ministry of Interior has warned that fines of up to SR100,000 will be imposed on anyone transporting holders of any type of visit visa into Makkah during the Hajj season.

The penalties will apply from April 19 to May 31, targeting those transporting individuals to Makkah and the Holy Sites in violation of regulations. Authorities may also seek to confiscate the vehicle used if it belongs to those involved.

The ministry urged the public to report violations by calling 911 in major regions or 999 elsewhere, assuring confidentiality and no liability for informants.
