Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has urged pilgrims to avoid peak hours when performing Umrah during the final 10 days of Ramadan, as large crowds are expected at the Masjid al-Haram.
According to crowd indicators recorded during the first two weeks of Ramadan, the busiest times are between 4pm and 10pm, and 5am to 8am. Moderate crowds are usually seen from 11pm to 4am, while the period from 8am to 3pm generally has lighter traffic, offering pilgrims a more comfortable time to perform the rituals.
Authorities are also implementing enhanced crowd-management measures, including improved traffic control, humanitarian services and the use of advanced security technologies and artificial intelligence to regulate movement and reduce congestion around the mosque.
