Qiddiya Investment Company has announced plans for a major horse racing venue in Qiddiya City, celebrating the Kingdom’s equestrian heritage.
The venue will serve as a national destination for sport, culture and entertainment, and will host the prestigious Saudi Cup — the world’s richest horse race. It will feature a flexible racing layout, including the region’s first straight-mile turf course, a 2,200-metre main turf track and a 2,400-metre inner dirt track.
A 21,000-seat grandstand, expandable to 70,000 for major events, will anchor the site, alongside a 110-metre parade ring placing horses and jockeys at the heart of the fan experience. A state-of-the-art equine hospital will provide advanced veterinary and emergency care, underscoring a strong focus on horse welfare.
