Music composers, directors, filmmakers, and fans from all over Saudi Arabia and outside have flocked to Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University for the second edition of the Riyadh Film Music Festival, which was organized by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. The celebration will end on August 9, 2025.
On the first night, a live symphonic performance brought moments from classic movies to life through sound by fusing memorable images with stirring music.
With the soundtracks of four international blockbusters—Top Gun: Maverick, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future, and The Lion King—performed live by a full orchestra during film screenings, this year's event provides an immersive cinematic experience.
Classical works such as Hans Zimmer's beloved songs from The Lion King, Alan Silvestri's soundtrack for Back to the Future, and He's a Pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean were performed for audiences.
The festival is a component of the Commission's larger plan to make Riyadh a global center for the arts while improving the city's cultural and recreational options for both locals and tourists.
