Riyadh launches new residential parking system

On Saturday, a new parking regulation system will be implemented in residential areas of Riyadh. Residents and guests will receive free digital permits from the managed parking system via the Riyadh Parking app.

The Al-Wurud neighborhood will be the first to implement the new system, with plans to extend the project to additional locations close to already-existing paid parking zones.

Additionally, Riyadh Parking announced the opening of numerous new places for paid parking.

Prince Mosaad Bin Jalawi Road between King Abdulaziz Road and Makkah Al-Mukarramah Road will have charged parking starting on Saturday in both directions.

Starting on Saturday, paid parking will also be necessary on Makkah Road, which runs from King Abdulaziz Road to the intersection of Prince Msaad bin Jalawi Road.

The national Nafath platform is connected to the Riyadh Parking app, which enables citizens to pay for parking.

Additionally, it employs surveillance cars with cameras to police parking laws.

In the capital, it seeks to regulate around 140,000 unpaid residential areas and 24,000 paid commercial spaces.

This phase will include twelve districts, including four in the south and Al-Wurud, Al-Rahmaniyah, western Al-Olaya, Al-Murouj, King Fahd, and Al-Sulaymaniyah.
