Riyadh Metro hits 100 million passengers in under nine months

The Riyadh Metro celebrated the 100 millionth passenger in less than nine months since the project's inception in December of last year.

Since its launch, the Blue Line on the Olaya Road axis has carried about 46.5 million people. The Red Line on King Abdullah Road has carried 17 million passengers, and the Orange Line on the Madinah Road axis has carried 12 million passengers. With an operating regularity rate of more than 99.78 percent since the beginning of operation, the other three lines have seen 24.5 million passengers.

With a rate of over 29%, the main stations of Qasr Al-Hukm, Financial Center, and STC, together with the National Museum station, had the highest number of users of the Riyadh Metro. There are multiple Riyadh Metro lines that connect to these stations.

A vast bus network and public transportation stops supplement the Riyadh Metro's services, which are run by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. This ensures that passengers have a smooth journey from the time they leave their houses until they arrive at their destinations.

By improving mobility throughout the city and offering a variety of choices that cater to both locals' and tourists' requirements, this integrated system solidifies public transportation's position as a cutting-edge and environmentally friendly urban choice.
