Saudi Arabia has announced that holders of certain expired visas can either renew them via the Absher platform or exit the country through international ports without incurring fees or penalties, according to SPA.
The General Directorate of Passports clarified that the initiative covers all expired visit visas, including Umrah, transit, and final exit visas. Visas that expired on or after February 25, 2026, can be extended until April 18, 2026, upon request by the host and payment of the required fees through Absher.
Alternatively, affected visa holders are allowed to leave Saudi Arabia directly through international ports without renewing their visas or paying any overstay fines. For further assistance or inquiries, individuals can contact the unified number 992.
