Saudi Arabia has announced the first six countries eligible for its new Visa Package initiative: Jordan, Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Mexico. The service allows travellers to obtain an electronic tourist visa as part of a bundled booking that includes flights and licensed hotel accommodation.
The visa is issued within 48 hours of completing the booking, with travel documents and insurance sent by email. Currently, the service is available through accredited travel agencies Reserval and Almosafer.
The Visa Package includes a single-entry tourist visa valid for three months, allowing stays of 2 to 88 days in Saudi Arabia. It is linked to the travel package and is automatically canceled if the package is canceled.
Each package must include:
- Confirmed round-trip flights
- Stay at a Ministry-licensed four-star (or higher) hotel
- An electronic tourist visa
The minimum package price is SR4,000 per adult for the first two days, plus SR1,000 for each additional day. Travellers can also add optional experiences such as event tickets and leisure activities. Although the packages do not include Umrah services, visa holders may travel anywhere in Saudi Arabia, including Makkah and Madinah.
Refunds and booking changes due to cancellations by airlines or hotels will follow the policies of the authorized travel provider.
The Ministry of Tourism plans to expand the program to more nationalities in future phases.
