The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has implemented a decision to increase the Saudization rate in 12 procurement-related professions to 70%, effective May 31.
The requirement applies to private sector establishments with three or more employees in the targeted roles, including procurement manager, contracts manager, logistics manager, warehouse manager, procurement specialist, e-commerce specialist and market research specialist.
The ministry’s inspection teams have begun monitoring compliance, warning that legal penalties will be imposed on establishments that fail to meet the required Saudization rates.
The move is part of ongoing efforts to boost employment opportunities for Saudi nationals, support local talent and meet the future workforce needs of the procurement sector.
