Saudi Arabia sees record 32 million tourists, spending hits SAR 53 billion

Thirty two million tourists visited Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2025, setting new tourism growth records. An astonishing fifteen percent increase in spending, totaling fifty-three billion Saudi Riyals, has coincided with this impressive surge in visitor arrivals. The impressive expansion is a result of the Kingdom's continuous attempts to improve its tourism offers, draw tourists from abroad, and stimulate economic growth by making calculated investments in tourist experiences and infrastructure. These achievements demonstrate Saudi Arabia's rising stature as a top travel destination worldwide, in keeping with the aspirational objectives of its Vision 2030 program.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the "Saudi Summer" program brought in over 32 million domestic and foreign visitors, setting a new record for the country's tourism industry. This incredible spike marks a major turning point for the Kingdom's tourism sector and represents a 26% rise over the summer of 2024. Alongside the increase in visitors, the Kingdom also witnessed a remarkable surge in spending, with total expenditures reaching SAR 53.2 billion, a 15% increase from the previous year. These outstanding outcomes demonstrate Saudi Arabia's continued dedication to growing its travel industry and making a name for itself as a top travel destination worldwide.
