Saudi Arabia has launched its first energy hackathon ahead of the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh.
Held from October 7–9 at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, the event will bring together young innovators and industry experts to develop solutions for key energy challenges.
Under the theme “Ignite Your Ideas,” the hackathon will cover six challenges across operational efficiency, transformative innovation and intelligent control, including renewable energy integration, smart fuel stations, hydrogen storage and grid management. Selected projects will also receive support to develop their prototypes further.
Registration runs from August 19 to September 16 through the hackathon’s official website www.energy-website.pages.dev. Winners will be recognised at the closing ceremony on the final day of the WPC Energy Congress at Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center.
