Saudi Arabia has ranked first globally in the 2026 ICT Development Index (IDI) published by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), reflecting the Kingdom's leadership in digital transformation.
According to the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), the achievement was driven by strong performance in universal and meaningful connectivity, supported by advanced digital infrastructure and a robust regulatory environment.
The Kingdom's ICT market reached SR199 billion by the end of 2025, while internet and mobile phone penetration both hit 100%, further strengthening Saudi Arabia's position as one of the world's leading digital economies.
