Saudi Arabia warns of heavy penalties for Hajj visa violations

Ministry of Interior warned that expatriates overstaying their visas could face fines of up to SR50,000, up to six months in prison, and deportation. The ministry urged residents and visitors to follow Hajj regulations and report violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Region, or 999 in other parts of the Kingdom.
