Saudi Arabia welcomed about 116 million domestic and international tourists in 2024

According to the Ministry of Tourism's Annual Statistical Report, which was made public on Sunday, Saudi Arabia received almost 116 million domestic and foreign visitors in 2024—a 6% increase over the previous year.
According to the estimate, overall travel expenditures, including domestic and international, amounted to almost SR284 billion in 2024, representing an 11% annual increase.
The increase is a reflection of the Kingdom's increasing popularity as a tourist destination worldwide and the success of its consistent investments in cultural attractions, tourism infrastructure, and efficient guest experiences.
In 2024, a record 30 million foreign visitors came to Saudi Arabia, an 8 percent increase over 2023 and the greatest amount ever.
International tourist spending skyrocketed to SR168.5 billion, up 19% from the year before. With 86.2 million citizens traveling within the Kingdom and spending SR115.3 billion, domestic tourism also had strong growth, increasing in both volume and value by 5%.
