Saudi Aramco will introduce a 98-octane gasoline grade to the Saudi market from early 2026, targeting sports and high-performance vehicles while keeping existing fuel grades unchanged.
The premium fuel is designed for advanced engines that require higher octane for better performance and efficiency. Initially, Gasoline (98) will be available in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Dammam metropolitan area, as well as key connecting highways, with any wider rollout depending on demand.
Aramco said pricing will be published on its official website and reviewed under the Kingdom’s existing fuel pricing framework. The move aligns Saudi Arabia with global markets and supports the growing presence of high-performance vehicles in the country.
