On Monday, Saudi officials announced that Umrah visas would once again be issued beginning on Tuesday, June 10. Additionally, it was disclosed that beginning on Wednesday, June 11, the limitations placed on accessing Makkah during the Hajj season will be removed.
In anticipation of the yearly pilgrimage season, all Makkahi hospitality establishments were forbidden to host guests without a valid Hajj permit or an entry permit to work or live in the city on April 29.
The restriction on admission and stay in Makkah for visitors with any kind of visa, with the exception of those with a Hajj visa, was one of the additional special arrangements and procedures.
