The Saudi Electricity Company has confirmed that tenants will not be required to pay any previous bills due on the meter prior to the rental agreement. The company also explained that if a rental agreement exists, the beneficial tenant and the building owner, the real owner of the meter, must be contacted in writing.When the tenant vacates the contract, the responsibility reverts to the owner (as the beneficial owner).
