Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has warned that expatriates who overstay their visas face strict penalties, including up to six months in prison, fines of up to SR50,000, and deportation.
The ministry also urged visitors to follow Hajj regulations, stressing that visit visas do not permit pilgrimage and that violations will lead to legal action.
The public has also been encouraged to report offenders by calling 911 in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions.
