The Saudi Tourism Ministry has stepped up its inspections of a number of the Kingdom's summer travel hotspots.
With the start of the Saudi summer season, these inspections are meant to make sure that hospitality establishments have the required licenses from the ministry and adhere to approved quality standards. Over the course of the last two months, the inspection trips visited several cities and localities, including Aseer, Al-Baha, Taif, and Jeddah.
Over 2,800 trips to summer locations were made by the ministry's inspection teams. Along with verifying that facilities had acquired the required operating permits, the visits evaluated the cleanliness standards, safety regulations, and the quality of services rendered.
All hospitality facilities, including private ones, were reminded by the ministry of the significance of providing top-notch services and abiding by its authorized rules. It made clear that those who violate the rules will be punished, which could include facility closure, fines of up to SAR1 million, or both.
