"Terhal" kicked off in Diriyah, celebrating Saudi identity through performance

At Diriyah's Mayadeen theater, the second iteration of the immersive performance "Terhal" began Sunday night, attracting large audiences and encouraging widespread audience participation with its rich artistic narrative.

The Ministry of Culture is organizing the performance, which will continue to commemorate Saudi identity with a combination of musical, theatrical, and visual components until August 25.

"Terhal" is the first live performance in Saudi Arabia that blends cutting-edge stage technology with natural elements.

In the episode, a young Saudi named Saad travels throughout the Kingdom in pursuit of his heritage, identity, and a future he has created for himself, carrying with him the hopes and dreams of the past.

Inspired by the sceneries of the Kingdom, the show combines acrobatic feats, contemporary lighting, and immersive sound with picturesque scenery.

The Ministry of Culture intends "Terhal" to provide a top-notch artistic experience that highlights Saudi Arabia's cultural richness and enhances its standing as a creative travel destination worldwide.

Using creative visual storytelling and interactive effects, it showcases the diversity of Saudi history through traditional music, culinary skills, folk crafts, and cultural symbols.
