Fine of SR100,000 for allowing those with visit visa to undertake the Hajj illegally

The Ministry of Interior issued sanctions for individuals who disobey laws requiring a permit to conduct the Hajj and for those who assist in such infractions. Anyone who helps people obtain visit visas or provide housing or transportation to people overstaying to perform the Hajj illegally will face a maximum fine of SR100,000.
Those who violate these rules will be subject to the following sanctions from the end of Dhul Hijjah 14 to Dhul Qada 1, which is April 29.
- Those who are caught performing or attempting to undertake the Hajj without a permit may be fined up to SR20,000. If holders of any kind of visit visa try to enter or remain in Makkah city and the holy sites during the allotted time, they would be subject to the same penalty.
- Applicants for a visit visa who have done or attempted to perform the Hajj without a permit, or who have entered or remained in Makkah city and the holy sites during the designated period, would be subject to a maximum fine of SR100,000.Each person implicated will have their fine multiplied.
Those who transport or attempt to transport visit visa holders to Makkah city and the holy sites during the designated period will be fined SR100,000. Additionally, those who attempt to shelter or house visit visa holders in any type of lodging, such as hotels, apartments, private housing, shelters, or Hajj pilgrims' housing sites, will also be fined SR100,000. The penalty will increase for each person who is housed, hidden, or helped.
- Those who enter Makkah illegally to conduct the Hajj, whether they are locals or visitors, would be sent back to their home countries and prohibited from reentering the Kingdom for a decade.
- If a land vehicle belonging to the transporter, facilitator, or any accomplices is used to carry visitors with visitation visas to Makkah city and the holy sites during the designated period, the competent court will be asked to seize it.
