The official start of Saudi Arabia's meteorological summer is June 1, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NMC).
The NMC is prepared to use cutting-edge meteorological tools to manage summer forecasts. These include manned observatories, satellite imaging, the Saudi numerical model, weather radars, and mobile automatic stations that are always in operation to provide precise weather forecasts.
According to NMC spokesperson Hussein Al Qahtani, Jeddah experienced the nation's highest temperature on Tuesday, with temperatures sweltering to 47°C in the shade. "This early spike is a reflection of the growing summer heat, especially in the western parts of Saudi Arabia," he said.
