Saudi Space Agency and the World Economic Forum have announced an innovative initiative to launch the Center for Space Futures

An innovative project to establish the Center for Space Futures, scheduled to open in Saudi Arabia this fall, has been announced by the World Economic Forum and the Saudi Space Agency. It is the goal of this center to lead international talks about space cooperation and improve the incorporation of best practices in the space industry.

The Center for Space Futures, being hosted by the Saudi Space Agency, will function as a crucial forum for public-private discussions, encouraging technological progress and sustainable practices in the global space industry. With a focus on problems like climate monitoring and improving connection through satellites, it is positioned to make a major contribution to the acceleration of space technologies.

The CEO of the Saudi Space Agency, Dr. Mohammed Altamimi, reaffirmed the center's dedication to fostering a thriving and sustainable space industry. In the meantime, the World Economic Forum's Jeremy Jurgens, Managing Director, stressed the space industry's vital role in tackling numerous global issues like technological innovation and climate change.

Within the World Economic Forum's network of Fourth Industrial Revolution Centers (C4IR), the Center for Space Futures will be the first center dedicated solely to space. It will support C4IR Saudi Arabia in achieving the goals of economic diversification and enhanced living standards outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
