Among the participating cultural sites are the mudbrick maze of AlUla's Old Town, which is regarded as one of the greatest tourist towns in the world; Wadi Al-Naam, a breathtaking valley filled with famous rock art; and the Nabataean city of Hegra, which was named Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World cultural Site.
The "Incense Road Experience" event in AlUla's Old Town is an immersive journey that allows guests to walk through an ancient maze of evocative mudbrick structures while engaging in interactive storytelling and archaeological treasure explorations with live performances and technology.
"Masterpieces of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples," a highlight exhibition held in Maraya, the biggest mirrored edifice in the world, is sure to pique the interest of those seeking mystery.
Exhibiting for the first time in Saudi Arabia, visitors will see renowned pieces featuring timeless icons like as Marcus Aurelius, Alexander the Great, and Roman Emperor Trajan along with remarkable art history from Pompeii and Herculaneum.
The fan favourite "Hegra After Dark," offers an even greater and stronger taste of the ancient world. Two more highlights are "Hegra Candlelit Classics," returning with three immersive, one-of-a-kind musical experiences, and "Stories from the Sky," an incredible audio-visual spectacle that illuminates ancient landmarks.
Epic parades, treasure hunts in former hunting areas, yoga in Jabal Ikmah, a UNESCO Memory of the World site, sky tours over Nabataean tombs, and family-friendly events are all part of this year's Ancient Kingdoms Festival lineup.
