The National Museum in Riyadh will begin its third interactive summer camp for kids ages 10 to 12 with the theme "Made in the Museum." The program is a part of the "Year of Handicrafts," which honors Saudi Arabia's cultural legacy and its significance in forming ties between generations and the country.
The camp runs everyday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., both within and outside the museum, and offers two sessions: July 21–31 and August 4–14.
The camp is intended to be an intensive and informative experience that encourages participants to discover and restore traditional Saudi crafts.
In four main tracks—clay crafts, textiles, woodworking, and supportive crafts—children will work hands-on while combining play, education, and discovery.
Children are encouraged to create and present their projects at the conclusion of each session, which boosts their self-esteem and fosters creativity and new ideas.
