This week, the National Curriculum Center in Saudi Arabia unveiled one of the first all-inclusive national AI curricula in history, including elementary education through university. Six million pupils in the Kingdom's public education system are returning to school for the 2025–2026 academic year, marking the implementation of the new curriculum. Working together with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education developed age-appropriate AI modules that support the Human Capability Development Program through interactive and hands-on teaching methods.
As Saudi Arabia incorporates AI learning from elementary school to higher education, the new curriculum launch is one of the biggest national AI education deployments in a school system worldwide.
